Sezyo（世情）— Alternative Emotional from Tokyo

Sezyo (世情, read “se-jō”) is a rock band formed in Tokyo in 2021. Rooted in alternative rock, emo and hardcore, they carry melodies that lean toward Japanese kayōkyoku, with introspective, often ironic lyrics set against the noise.

Their first single “Ghost / おめでとう” arrived in April 2022. The debut EP “sorrows” followed on 30 May 2024 — recorded, mixed and mastered by the band themselves — with a music video for “salvage you” that June. They play mainly in Tokyo live houses: Kokubunji Morgana, Kichijoji WARP, Shimokitazawa and Shinjuku.
